.001 MY POSTS IN THE CLAIMS WERE IGNORED, CAN YOU TELL ME WHY?

Okay, so this happened for one of three reasons if not both. The first is that you didn’t wrap your post in code. The second is that if it asked for the link to your profile, you used the incorrect link. The last reason is that you did not post in and out of code – yes, I’m that picky with things like that.

.001A WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY ‘WRAP IN CODE’? [/b]

Wrapping in code is exactly what it sounds like; you wrap your text with [code*][/code*] (without the *), that way when an admin goes to add you to the list, they just need to copy and paste rather than take extra steps to get the correct form.

.001B WHAT IF IT SAYS TO POST IN AND OUT OF CODE?[/b]

Posting in and out of code is simple. Posting in code is when you wrap in code. Posting out of code is when you copy and paste the code, fill it out, but don’t wrap it. You want one version wrapped and one not (in the same post) so that I can make sure you used the correct code at first glance.

.001C YOU SAY INCORRECT LINK, HOW CAN IT BE WRONG?[/b]

Okay, so there are two different ways to get the profile link. The link that I’m asking for, you click on your display name on the left side of your post. that takes you to the correct profile which I need the link for. The incorrect link is the one you get by clicking ‘profile’ on the toolbar next to the ‘logout’ button.

.002 CAN I MAKE ORIGINAL CHARACTERS EVEN IF THERE ARE CANONS OPEN?[/b]

Yes, originals are always welcome. Taking a cannon to finish a story is ideal, but sometimes our canons don’t interest people so it’s perfectly fine to make your own character.

.003 WHAT IF I WANT MY CHARACTER TO BE A CANON, BUT IT’S NOT ON THE LIST?

I’ll let it slide in some cases. In order to do this you have to PM the head admin (me) and we can sort it out then. Let me tell you now that, no, just by asking to be a canon is not going to cut it. Maybe I’ll let somebody else be canon and somebody else not; don’t hold it against me – I gave fair warning. This will not be a constant occurrence. I might limit the number of canons at some point, so don’t throw a big nutty about trying to get canon and me not letting you.

.004 I LOVE THE CANON, BUT I DON’T LIKE THE PLAYBY OR THE LAST NAME, CAN I CHANGE IT?[/b]

We can discuss this, but i prefer we don't change it. Chances are I’ll let you within reason, but I have to approve. Say the character is a really buff football player and you don’t like the playby, I’m not going to change it to some scrawny kid. This is something we can discuss if you want.

Of course! There is no limit to the amount of threads you have per character, I just ask that you keep them all active. If you make seventeen threads, but only respond to three, PM an admin about the other fourteen because they’re cluttering the board.

As the title states, it’s ‘of the month’ so every month that we’re active there will be voting.

This will be addressed in the threads, but what you need to do is simple. Nothing. You can’t do anything within your own power to become an ‘of the month’ winner. Follow the rules, be great all around and somebody might nominate you. After you’re nominating, it’s simply up to the rest of the site to decide who wins what.

.007 I HAVE THE SAME PLAY BY AS SOMEBODY ELSE, WHAT SHOULD I DO?[/B]

I hate when this happens – it’s happened to me in the past. The play by goes to whoever stated their claim first. This means that if one person gets accepted with Lindsay Lohan as her claim, but never posts in the face claim and somebody else comes along and reserves/claims then it goes to the second person. The claims are important, if you don’t claim it, it’s not yours. this includes canons, yes, I’ll be a little (use your imagination) like that.

.008 WHAT IF THERE’S AN ACTIVITY CHECK WHILE I’M ON VACATION?[/b]

If you post in the absence board, you shouldn’t worry about this. I check that board when there’s activity checks and line up the dates and so forth. Unless you’ve been inactive for five days with no posted reasoning, you’re safe.

.009 I FOUND MYSELF DELETED, AND MY CLAIMS GONE – BUT I STILL WANT TO BE HERE WITH MY CHARACTER, WHAT SHOULD I DO?[/b]

Well, first off, you re-register to make the same character. PM an admin to retrieve anything you want back (app., shipping threads, etc.) and take off as if you never left. However, you will need to find a new-playby and if you were a canon, you need to make either an original or another canon. So remember to post in absences because the head admin (me) can be cruel on a whim.
