Catalina Lysette Grayson was beautiful. And she knew it very well. Everyone always complemented her beauty. She wasn’t typical Barbie doll pretty, she was high fashion china doll pretty. She had gentle round face with long chocolate brown hair that framed her face, large doe eyes and a cute rose bud mouth. But sometimes she doubted her beauty. She found herself average. Normal. And Cat hated normal. Normal was boring. Normal was safe. Catalina had strived most of her life to be noticed. To shine. But she realized now that she was normal. She was just like everyone else. And that thought terrified her.
Cat rolled over in her bed and groaned. Her alarm clock told her that it was ten am. She didn’t have any classes today so she had decided to sleep in and chill around her apartment. But her body didn’t want to sleep in or lounge about her room. Cat kicked her sheets off and jumped out of bed. She walked across the hardwood floors into her bathroom. Her dark hair was knotted and messy. Like a birds nest. Catalina groaned. At least she didn’t have any pimples or sudden black heads. That was somewhat good news. Catalina slipped off her pajamas and jumped into the shower. After a quick shower Cat blow-dried her hair and put on some clothes and shoes. Looked in the mirror. Naturally she looked perfect. Even her casual messy clothes fit perfect together. Catalina was getting sick of perfect.
Catalina grabbed her keys, opened the door, and walked slowly down the stairs of her apartment and tossed open the complex door. So many places to go. Not. So many places to see. Not. She could go to the beach. But that would require her to go up and get her bikini. Something she was unwilling to do. She could go shopping. But sadly she already had WAY too many clothes. Most of which, Cat had never worn. After of few minutes of debating with herself, Catalina had finally decided to go to the park. It was a nice day. It was little early so few people would be around. Plus going there was free. And that was always a plus. The park wasn’t far from her apartment so Catalina decided to walk. It would give her a chance to see the town not to mention great exercise.
As Cat walked she couldn’t help but think of her boyfriend. He was acting strangely distant lately. He walked around groaning and sighing about something but whenever she asked about it, he would snap her and walk away. It was getting frustrating. Very very frustrating. Was he mad at her? Did she do something wrong? Was it the sex? Catalina smirked. No it couldn’t be that. Cat always a trick up her sleeve to keep things exciting. Well, maybe its not something bad she thought. Then an idea hit her. Oh my god! Maybe he’s going to propose!? She knew it was wishful thinking but it was a shot!
Catalina arrived at the park. But she was in the middle of a daydream and hardly noticed the person walking in front of her. That is until she ran right into them.
Oh my god! I’m so sorry! she said.
