YVETTE JOHANNA MOREL.
take an inch and i'll give you a mile.
SO BEFORE WE GET STARTED, LET’S COVER THE BASIC NAME.

”hi, i'm yvette johanna morel. most people just call me yvette, but there are some people who can get away with calling me evie. i quite like the nickname, but i've been yvette for so long that i'm use to it being simply that. it's french for archer or yew. i'm sorry that i don't really know more.”
THAT’S PRETTY COOL, I GUESS. SO TELL ME ABOUT YOURSELF.
”i'm eighteen years old and a senior in high school this coming fall. i'm relatively excited about it and i've sent applications to a lot of schools. i'm still unsure of which college i want to attend to. i suppose it's a good thing i have time to decide after i figure out who's accepted me. i want to go to school for music though i think i'm going to be be undecided as far my major goes for my freshman year. i hope college brings some relationship luck though i've had my eye on someone. he works as a stablehand; the sheriff asked my dad if he could work there so he wouldn't go to jail. i was never really told what he did to get in trouble, but i don't suppose it could be so bad if he slipped by with community service. yes, i'm a boy lover. what's the correct word? heterosexual? yes, that's it. i'm straight and as far as my 'luck' goes... i had a long lasting relationship for a while. it lasted for about five years, so we went pretty far, but not all the way because i just couldn't do it. something stopped me every time and i felt terrible about it. now i'm single, so there isn't much to do and no, i'm not bored. i enjoy life the way it is.
WELL, REGARDLESS, I THINK YOU’RE PRETTY GOOD LOOKING.
”i'm tall for a girl, we can start with that. i stand at five nine, which is crazy. the doctor's say that my height and weight don't match up, and i suppose they're right. i may be tall, but i've been told that i'm unaturally light. i'm thin is all, which i don't understnad. i'm a bit of a bottomless pit, i must admit. i eat a lot, but i have a fast motabolism and considering i live on a ranch i'm active most of the time. no, i don't have a lot of muscle though. i'm a weakling, really. you would think lifting sixty pound hay bales would give me some sort of muscle, but i don't have much. maybe compared to other girls i'm strong, but it doesn't really show when you look at me and a guy can take me down in a second.
"enough of my body type. i have fair skin and unless i put on sunscreen i burn until i'm bright red. with sunscreen, i get a nice little tan, but it's not like some people i know. i hate that about me. my cheeks are naturally rosy though, which i like. would it make me sound narcisistic if i say i like my face? i have bright blue eyes, but unfortunately short eyelashes. i wear natural looking makeup most of the time, but sometimes i'll do pretty-but-wild magazine make up. you know, the exaggerated kinds they do in the commercials, but it looks really nice? i do that on occasion, but mostly i go with natural makeup. now for my hair. if i left my hair natural, it will frizz a lot. i have small, tight ringlets, but they look more like a giant poof if i don't tame them. as weird as it sounds, if i brush them immediately after a shower and blowdry my hair at the same time, they become larger, looser, prettier curls. if i'm really bored and have the time, i'll straighten my hair, and if i have even more time, i'll recurl it - although it doesn't look as natural, and like i said, i like the natural looks.
"i love cute clothes; my favourite in particular are dresses. it's not a rare instant that you'll see me wearing sundresses practically every day until it's too cold. that's not to say i only wear dresses. i'm a big jean kind of girl, and around the ranch that's usually all i wear. i have my nicer pairs of jean for school and living, and then i have three pairs that i wear year round around the ranch. i like to lounge around in baggy sweats though, but i don't go in public like that. like i said, i go for cute and comfortable. to tie up my outfits, i wear simple jewelry more often than not and my absolute favourite touch - my cowboy boots or cowgirl, whichever you want to call them. they're one of two pairs i have, but my favourites are the older, more broken in pair. they're a bit more worn. i wear my 'nicer' ones for other times."
I’M NOT COMPLAINING. TELL ME MORE ABOUT YOU LIKE-WISE.

”well, i like a lot of things really, but i'll just name a few. let's start with the necessities; clothes and food. i love dresses. i really enjoy dress shopping even if i don't buy any of the dresses. prom dresses and expensive dresses are my favourite to shop for, but i also love dresses for everyday wear. as for food, i have quite the sweet tooth so it's no wonder i love chocolate. i'm more of a dark chocolate girl, it's just the best comfort food. chinese food is also pretty great - that and ice cream, moosetracks. i also love stuffed animals, and animals in general. as strange as it may be, i love moose although i can't say i know the plural form. i have a stuff moose named steve, or i had him. i lost him at the park when i was eight. he was my favourite. my favourite pasttime revolves around music. i listen to many genres of music, but my favourite is country and oldies. easy listening is always good for car rides. speaking of which i love driving. my dad doesn't recommend driving when i'm angry, but in all honesty, it calms me down. i also love taking walks, particularly on the beach and when the sun's setting. i love the beach, sunsets, and night time. it's just so relaxing, so i love it. anything relaxing is great. what helps me relax is playing guitar, piano, writing songs, and singing. i've been playing guitar since i was nine, and piano since i was six. i started writing songs when i got my first guitar. i also love to perform, but i haven't really gotten the chance to do it much lately. i just think it's great because i get to let loose, and everything i've kept bottled up just comes out. i have a whole lot more energy and i'm more outgoing when music is involved, although i don't like... well, i'll get into that.
"so i don't really like talking a lot. i mean, i like talking, but unless i'm comfortable with you i prefer to keep it to a minimum. it's mainly just when i meet new people that i'm a little quieter. speaking about talking, i hate it when i sleep talk because then people always tell me weird things that i've said and it's just embarressing. it's also really embaressing when i sleep walk, which i don't like doing. like most people, i also don't like my hand writing. when i have time and i want something to look really nice, i like it, but my everyday writing just comes out messy. to stay with possibly school related topics, i also have a strong disliking towards lectures, and mechanical pencils. the squeaking is so annoying. now i guess things that i'm afraid of count as things that i don't like too so i'll jump to that. so im afraid of flying on planes, which is fine since i don't travel a lot because of the ranch. i'm also afraid of the dentist. first off, they're just annoying because they talk to you when they have their hands in your mouth and expect you to answer which is just impossible. then they never let you spit, and having sharp things stuck in my mouth is scary. i'm also afraid of old, shaky elevators. they just give me uncertainty and they scare me. i don't like them at all. so as you can tell, i don't like being unsure. i don't like violence, drugs, swearing, or excessive drinking although i will drink on occasions at parties and such.”
[/blockquote]
YOU’RE NOT TELLING ME SOMETHING… TELL ME.
”i don't really have a lot to hide to be honest, just silly little things. okay, maybe not silly little things to me. the first is that i'm afraid of deep water. it sound silly, i know, and i still go swimming in deep water, but it always makes me nervous when i can't see the bottom. i always have these terrible visions of something pulling me down or a body just floating up from the depths. you probably wouldn't know it looking at me, especially if i'm swimming in deep waters, but it's true. it just makes me nervous.
"the second little secret is that when i was dating my ex, i accidentally kissed his best friend. not in the 'i want you, lets make out,' sort of way, but in the way that we were having a deep talk about something he did that was really big, and somehow it ended with a kiss. it wasn't a quick kiss, but it wasn't long. what's worse was that i didn't push him away. we just kind of let the kiss end and vowed to never talk about it. does that make me a cheater?”
OOH, DO YOUR PARENTS KNOW? SPEAKING OF FAMILY...

”okay, so my family is a really great family to live in. we all joke around a lot, my dad in particular. he's a giant goofball, but he can get really serious at times too, and he's scary when he's angry. he used to be the best rodeo cowboy in mountain view, but that was a long time ago. now he's just the owner of charlie's ranch with my mom by his side. my mom's a great woman, i have her eyes. anyway, she's more the business brain in my family. daddy may own the place and be the one that everyone sees, but my ma really tackled the business end and does all of the behind the scenes action. she schedules everything and runs the finances. she also works as a part time professor at the community college as - figures - a professor for the business and finance majors. it's nothing big, she only goes in once a week, but it's not too shabby.
"i also have a twin brother. we get along really well even though we're so different. it's weird to see a sister and brother be best friends, according to strangers we meet, but we really are best friends. we tell each other everything and joke around a lot. i pick up some of his chores if he needs to go out for something and he does the same for me. it's really weird though because people ask me if he's hot when they first find out about him. i guess that's to be expected of teenage girls.
"so that's where my family ends, but we own twenty eight horses. okay, not all twenty eight are ours. we board a few for some people, but the rest are ours. i treat the boarded horses like they're ours, 'cause in a way they are. the owners don't come by every day so they pay us more than they should for excersising them and so forth. we also have about fifty chickens, i don't really know how many. we had a rooster, but it died. we also have two goats and a barn cat. the barn cat is just a stray cat that i adopted, but nobody knows i go out to feed it.”

JUST ANOTHER MOUNT V FAMILY; TELL ME MORE.
[/blockquote][/blockquote]
”i've lived in mountain view for my entire life and i've watched it gradually change, though thankfully the changes haven't been massive. i'll start with the beginning, obviously. i was born on the last day of the year in 1991 at 11:59 PM. i would love to say that i was the last baby born in the year, but there was a baby who made it just before the ball dropped in new york. i'm the younger of the morel kids. my twin is about seven minutes older than me. i decided to take my time. i'm kind of glad that i was one of the youngest. i would like to be the youngest for the same reason anybody would want to be the oldest. it's just a unique title; like my name. it's not really common out here in the west. at least, i wouldn't think it would be since it's french and i look like an all american because i am one. i came to the world as an all american daddy's girl. i was quiet, didn't scream, didn't cry. they thought something was wrong with me, but i was as happy as can be. i was literally smiling the second i saw the light.
"growing up on the ranch meant that i learned to work at a young age. wake up early, do my chores, have a nice breakfast, go to school, hang around, do more chores. needless to say it was tiring, so i didn't really disobey. i was too tired to do that; not to mention there are the days that my dad's just so exhausted that he gets scary. if i didn't do my chores, he would yell at me and i don't really like loud noises. i don't like getting in trouble, so i always did my work at home on the ranch, and at school. the good little girl is what i was known as. i wasn't complaining. i'm still not really complaining; it's better than being the bad girl with the bad rep. at least, that's how i view it. i never really played sports in school because i was the good girl who helped my family. i would go home, excercise the horses and lead trail rides. i'd come in just in time for the funnest part of the day - making dinner with my parents. throughout the day my dad's the handson guy, and my mom's the office crab, but at meals. wow, it's a big difference. we all come together. sure, there are the days when we just grab the quickest thing and leave, but on the weekends mostly we have this big dinner making fiasco that ends well, but the road to the end isn't too pretty. we have to clean up a mess after.
"so my days consist of working on the ranch and going to the rodeo. every now and then i'll be part of the rodeo, but i'm more just a watcher. the one place i really get myself out in the open is performing my music. i've been playing guitar since i was nine, and piano since i was six. according to my parents i was performing long before then. get me on that stage and i swear... i could live there if i wanted to. sadly i can't and i have an unsure future ahead of me. i've been trying to make a name outside of mountain view. i've sent demos here and there, but they're mostly covers of other artists which is probably why i haven't gotten anywhere. they want something original; i'm just having trouble compiling the best of my work. i want fresh music, but i haven't had much of an inspiration to write lately. who knows though, that new stablehand seems to be on my mind a lot.”
